This handwoven Moroccan hanbel rug is a rare piece that brings together three traditional weaving techniques in a single rug, showcasing the richness and technical mastery of Moroccan craftsmanship.

Traditionally, hanbel rugs are made in warm yellow tones. For this piece, we chose to reinterpret the tradition by introducing a deep, majestic green, giving the rug a bold yet timeless presence while respecting its cultural roots.

The rug combines:

  • Armure toile (plain weave), forming the strong and stable base
  • Enroulement de trame (weft wrapping), adding texture and decorative rhythm
  • Noué / nœud (knotted technique), creating relief, depth, and visual contrast

Crafted from high-quality, carefully treated natural wool, this rug is durable, soft underfoot, and designed for everyday use. Thanks to the quality of the fibers and the weaving techniques, it sheds very little, does not cause dust issues, and is easy to clean and maintain.

Entirely handmade, this hanbel rug reflects a slow, responsible production process and a contemporary approach to Moroccan heritage. A unique statement piece that blends tradition, innovation, and sustainable craftsmanship—perfect for adding character and depth to any interior.
